All our frames can be upgraded with laminated glass for added security, noise reduction and better u- values (the lower the u-value, the higher the performance). Although triple glazing increases the windows thermal efficiency it is no better than double glazing for noise reduction. You would expect three layers of glazing to be an improvement but the internal pane on triple glazed units can experience vibrations that amplify sounds. The most popular leaded designs are diamond or rectangular patterns but there are plenty of others to choose from.
